Living and learning in a city like Washington, DC, our students gain an education unlike any other. Our proximity to federal agencies like NASA and the National Institutes of Health, as well as world-class institutions like the Smithsonian, gives our students unparalleled opportunities to expand their learning and get involved in research. The GW environment is also one that fosters innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as compelling science communication. We invite you to explore some of the resources below!
Degree Programs and Certificates
As a comprehensive university, GW offers degrees in diverse fields, from anthropology and engineering to epidemiology and immunology. GW also integrates STEM competencies into areas of historic strengths such as public policy, law, international affairs and business. At GW, you can combine STEM and international affairs through our Bachelor of Science in International Affairs degree, or fuse traditional business disciplines and STEM through our new STEM-designated Global MBA degree and Accelerated MBA degree programs.
A newer addition to GW’s graduate programs is a fully-funded PhD program for students conducting research at the intersection of artificial intelligence and complex work systems. Students pursuing this interdisciplinary education also receive complimentary training in ethics, policy and communications needed to take their research out of the lab and into industry, government and the broader community.
